Learning As Leadership

Closing the Teach For America Blogging Gap

About the Author

I am a Teach For America alumni. I am in my 4th year of teaching. I teach 6th grade ELA in Saint Louis, Missouri. I was a non-traditional corps member and did not join TFA immediately after college.

Teach For America says that great leaders can be transformed into great teachers through their “Teaching As Leadership” philosophy. Great leaders might make great teachers, but great leaders also know they must become great learners in order to be great teachers. This blog will document my journey not of being a teacher, but of being a student who is learning to be a great teacher. This is Teaching Learning As Leadership.
